"Baby Boomer Bodger" Turned DIY Boffin

Sunday, January 1, 2012

If you are like me a "Baby Boomer" i.e. someone born just after the Second World War you will probably be quite adept at being handy around the house, nothing really troubles you. Replacing the odd washer here, slapping on a roll or two of wallpaper there, rewiring a plug or even landscaping the garden seems like child's play.
Bee removal is dangerous and should not be tried by those inexperienced in the process. It can lead to more disastrous results if left unheeded.
Beyond the basics of changing light bulbs or fuses, electrical jobs are something to stay away from. It's not just the difficulty of working with electricity - it's the high stakes you are playing with. Getting electrical things wrong can be lethal - think electrocution and fire.
Learning how to get mold out of the carpet can take some time. You have to understand that mold can regenerate itself through microscopic spores. When these spores become airborne, they can spread to other parts of your house. The best way to start cleaning mold off of your carpet is to take it outside and put it in direct sunlight.
Besides being superiorly delicious and chock-full of nutrients, heirloom tomatoes are really cool! I mean, just the way they look is enough to make you want to plant them in your garden. Compared to the same old, commercially grown, perfectly round, red, store bought tomato an heirloom tomato looks like a work of fine art.
Sleeping on an unsupportive mattress can cause or worsen back aches and pains. Lack of support from a mattress encourages poor posture, strains muscles and does not help keep the spine in alignment, all of which contribute to back pain. But what does correct support look and feel like?
Today's houses are a breeding ground for all sorts of nastiness, the main one we associate with bedding products is the house dust mite, this horrible microscopic creature feeds on the dead skin and fungus that collects in the home. Unfortunately we shed this matter everyday of our lives and this environment allows them to breed in vast numbers.
